Frequently Asked Questions

    1. How long does the process take?
      We aim to finish the project between 6-8 months. However, in case of special services like getting the books traditionally published or having an audio book released, it might take longer. 
       

    2. What will the cover of my book look like?
      The cover will capture the essence of the book. It could be a photograph of you or a custom illustration designed by an artist. We will work with you to arrive at the best cover for your magnum Opus.  
       

    3. Who would conduct the interviews? And what would be the duration of the interviews?
      The number of interviews and the duration of the interviews will be based on the package. In case extra interviews are needed, we can always go for an upgrade. The interviews would be conducted by the author herself. 
       

    4. How many rounds of edits do I have?
      During each interview, a rough outline of the book, based on the previous interview, will be submitted. You can suggest changes during that time. After the book is written, we will submit the entire manuscript to you for any corrections before it goes to print. 
       

    5. Can I gift this as a service to a Friend/Customer? 
      Absolutely. 

    1. Who owns the copyright of my book?
      It is your Magnum Opus. You will own the copyright for the book. 
       

    2. Who gets the royalty from the books?
      You will get all the royalty from the books. We have no share in it. But please note, that you will need to fork out a percentage of your royalty to the self-publishing platform or the traditional publishing house as per the agreement that you have with them.

    1. How do I pay?
      You can pay online.  Our bank details will be shared along with the invoice after you have decided upon the package that you would like to purchase. 
       

    2. Do I pay in full upfront?
      The payment instalment will be according to the contract that you sign with us.
       

    3. Do I get an agreement after the payment?
      After payment, we will share the agreement based on the agreed upon package and the parameters. 

    1. What is Amazon KDP?
      KDP stands for Kindle Direct Publishing. This is Amazon’s self-publishing platform.
       

    2. How long does it take for my book to be available on Amazon?After we upload your book files, cover, blurb and metadata to KDP and publish your book, Amazon requires upto 72 hours for their quality assurance checks. If there are any outstanding issues, it will be flagged during this time. When we correct the issues and resubmit it, your book will be available on the Amazon platfrom in 72 hours. 
       

    3. What information do you need to self-publish my book?
      Amazon log in details and bank information is needed to self-publish your book on KDP. This is to ensure that all the royalties from your book will be directly credited to your bank account. This information will be kept confidential. After publishing of the book on Amazon, your details will be deleted from our systems. 
       

    4. Will you help me with the marketing of my book?
      No. Magnum Opus will not play a role in the marketing of your book. Our role ends with the publishing of the book. However, we can come up with one or two marketing strategies best suited for your book as an additional service.  
       

    5. Can I publish my book via a traditional publisher?
      We can help you attempt to publish your book via a traditional publisher. However, please be aware that a traditional publisher picking up the book for publishing is not in our hands. It is entirely up to the publishing house. We can put in the effort, but we cannot guarantee the result one hundred percent. Also, the time taken to get the book published via a traditional publisher is high. It might take at least one year extra to get the book published.
